Hello Everyone,I hope you've had a great week! It's funny how fast time goes by, but I know that everything we experience is for a reason!
Well, let me tell you about my week:
Monday: Well, after I e-mailed a little bit I just sort of made a bed out of chairs and laid on them until Sister Fenn finished her e-mailing. Haha and then we got some groceries and went home so I could sleep. The medicine we got really helped me! I fell asleep later around 8 or 9 and finally got some peaceful rest. I woke up at 2am. My fever was gone and I felt refreshed! I finally beat the flu. I crawled into bed (I had fallen asleep out in the living room) and enjoyed my last few hours of sleep.
Tuesday: We had to wake up an hour early to drive to Fredricton NB for our Zone Conference! The Elders picked us up (we are allowed to carpool only for things like this where it is a 3 hour long drive) and we made our way up. I rested a lot. I didn't have my fever anymore but I still felt really dizzy... Zone conference was great! It was my first zone conference outside of the New Brunswick East Zone. I am now in the New Brunswick West Zone. Isn't that funny? I've been in both new brunswick zones but I've never actually been in a full area there! Just outside it. Weird. We got back late that evening.
Wednesday: MY NINE MONTH MARK! Wow. That was crazy. I could hardly believe that the day arrived.
Thursday: We had a few less active visits which was great. A lot of people have also been getting sick though so so many lessons fell through.
Friday: Weekly planning already!? We actually spent the morning a little differently. We drove to Canada, Perth Andover, and helped out a member and some of her friends at the library with family history! We got them signed up on Familysearch.org and away they went. Finding names and hunting down birth certificates, it was so fun! I love family history work. We had a wonderful supper that evening with the Reed family and a wonderful recently baptized member. She is so sweet! We went over later and made cookies for our upcoming activity.
Saturday: We spent the morning in Caribou in meetings. (we drive so much in this area!) and we had a few visits one with a great recent convert, who is pretty cool and very excited about the gospel. The other with a less active who is trying to change her life and get back onto the right path. Then we went to the Stepps house for the YSA thanksgiving dinner! Talk about yummy.
Sunday: Church is amazing in this ward. There are just so many people! I'm starting to remember a few names. But it is crazy. We had linger longer afterwards and then we headed back to presque isle and visited a less active.
All in all it was a great week. My testimony has definitely been uplifted. I think it is important to remember what our purpose is. Why we are doing the things we are doing. Are we praying because it is our habit? Or are we praying to really talk with God?
Love you all. Have a great week! And thank you to Cari Grosland for being the first person to get mail to me here in Maine! That made my whole day.
Love Sister Smith
