What a blessing it is to be in Nova Scotia, it's a beautiful place-especially when it rains! I've had a wonderful week and I'm excited to tell you a little bit about it.
Wednesday: Monday and Tuesday were great, but We had some great member visits on Wednesday. I love the Cole Harbour Ward! the members are so fun :) We had lunch with Sister Bruce a stalwart member! Then we drove out to visit a woman and the Bishops wife told us it would be nice for us to stop by and just visit. So we did, we talked about her family and got to know her and it was great (remember her for future reference) Then we drove back home to a dinner appointment with the Frasers. Love that family!
Thursday: I was on exchanges with Sister Hull. Wohoo! She used to serve here so it was helpful to learn more about the area. We had a great time contacting at the boardwalk in eastern passage. it's beautiful there! We also taught a lesson to our investigator which was so great! (I love teaching so much).. But I'm hoping that we're making progress! We exchanged back that night.
Friday: Weekly planning! Wohoo. We had a great time weekly planning. Went a little crazy.. it's a long time in one room! But we had fun. We went out street contacting and had some pretty interesting conversations with people haha. That evening we did some service at a members home helping them tape their room so they could paint, and we went to this sweet couples house to help them do family history it was so fun!
Saturday: More service, then some quality knocking and boardwalk contacting in Eastern Passage. That was pretty fun. As we were driving to and from we found a mini carnival! So we had to buy cotton-candy of course. And one of the people we talked to there happened to be a less active member from New Glasgow! That was pretty crazy!
Sunday: Here's the great part! Sister Tait and I both gave talks on Keeping the Sabbath Day Holy. After our talks one of the men came up to talk with us, he is the husband of the woman we visited on wednesday. He told us that she really enjoyed our visit, that it was perfect, when all of the sudden a voice says "I can tell them myself" There she was!!!! His eyes got SO BIG! hahaha She said she was lonely and decided to come to church. It was a miracle!!! It also so happened another less active that we visited with that week came as well and the two of them sat together in relief society. haha they had a great time together. It just shows me that even when you don't think you're accomplishing much. Loving the members, going out of your way to share that with them it goes so far.
Anyways. This week is a BIG week. my 18 month, mark! WHOA! So that's crazy ;) there may still be time to send a letter. If you really really want. I'd especially enjoy hearing from my family or anyone that would like to send me their testimony!
Thanks so much. Have a great week <3
