Hello From the Rock!
I hope that you are all having a fantastic week. Just tell me where you're to and I'll come to where you're at. A Newfoundlander saying for ya ;)
Here's a bit about my week!
Tuesday: We went on exchanges with the St. John's sisters again, they're going through a bit of a rough time so we're just trying to help and encourage in the ways we can. Because Sister Fenn had to go to St. John's for this kind of unexpected exchange I ended up having to teach the Doctrine of the Gospel class by myself, and I had 0 time to prepare. Whew, good thing the Lord loves His missionaries! The lesson went really well, you could feel the spirit! I'm so thankful that I had the opportunity to teach. The lesson was on the Restoration of Christ's Church, a fitting topic for missionaries. Overall it was a great day.
Wednesday: Happy CANADA DAY! We had a blast!
Thursday: Visits, lessons, running around haha the usual busy missionary day!
Friday: Zone Conference! We had a second Zone Conference so that our new Mission President, President Pratt, could meet all of us. We drove to Gander and had a great meeting. I really like the Pratts. They were excited to find out I was from Springville and they're overall really nice people. They're going to do great! After Zone Conference we drove to Corner Brook for Visits with the Sisters there.
Saturday: Corner Brook, I forgot to mention one surprise from Zone Conference was that my trainer Sister Sharp who has been home for 2 months came to it! she's up visiting and it was so fun seeing her. We had a great time with Sister Spencer and Sister Law. They're so sweet and funny! Oh, And HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!
Sunday: Church was wonderful! There was a real strong testimony meeting and I was so grateful to be there. It really helped me and I loved it. We then drove the 7 hours home but we stopped at the Sanders house an hour and a half away from home to have supper. A cute little family from the states. They were great!
It's been an awesome week. The work is true. God loves us! Each and every one!
Sister Smith
ps. I was so sad to hear about Elder Packer! I love him! But the Church goes on, it's part of life. I can't wait to find out who the new apostles will be!!!
