I'm doing great! We had a fun week. Missionary work is always a mix of fun, work, forcing yourself to get out of bed some days, and jumping out on others. It's a grand time!
Monday: After e-mailing we packed up and headed right to Amherst, Nova Scotia! Oh, it was like driving through a dream in my old area, I got to see some of the old haunts, so much fun! I dropped off Sister Bowden and Sister Lybbert, Sister Christiansen, and I headed out to dartmouth. We stayed overnight with Sister Sharp and Sister Ward again. It was so fun to look at old pictures from Montague and talk about the crazy stories we've collected over the course of our missions. The best things to talk about were the people who we grew to love.
Tuesday: Meetings!!! President Leavitt definitely is inspired, I look up to him so much! We had wonderful trainings, we laughed, we cried, we felt the spirit :) I got to see the temple again, though we weren't able to go in this time. It was a wonderful feeling to be with all of the leaders, and it was also sad because it was our last meeting.
Wednesday: District meeting! We had some great trainings, had fun practicing how to teach and talked about the importance of the Book of Mormon. It is SO important. I just can't emphasize that enough. The Book of Mormon is the key to knowing if all of this is even true! I am so thankful we have this inspired scripture. what an impact it has made in my life!
Thursday: We went up to Canada. We had a family history booth with the Elders, it was a lot of fun. Even though some people yelled rude things. We're used to it. A lot of people would engage in interesting conversations with us, I love hearing where people are from and their family stories! A sweet sister in the ward took us out for chinese for lunch and the Seaboyers, a great couple, had us over for dinner! It was a lot of fun. That evening we did the Book of Mormon study, we went over Alma 47 (I think) talking about protecting yourself from temptation in the story of Lehonti and Amalakiah, (how's that for a name?).
Friday: We had another lesson! It went really well, he's had some positive experiences with praying, and the member we brought was able to answer a lot of his questions!
Saturday: It was a full day! From knocking to trying to do service, talking with people, and waiting for doors to answer, we were busy all day long. I love it so much!
Sunday: Transfer Letters! What a shock! Elder Warren and Elder Thompson (who are part of our unit) are staying and Sister Bowden is staying... that left me, going to Newfoundland! That's so crazy! I never thought I would get up there. I am so excited. It was a wonderful time at church,Our investigator came! And he agreed to a baptismal date of May 30th! I know this group will be great at teaching him and preparing him to make that sacred covenant with God.
It's been a great week! There's so much to be done. I'm so thankful for the time we had! Remember, love, forgive, laugh!
