Hi Everyone!
Life while you are on a mission is so different. I love the work, and the people. It can be so hard, so draining, and if you let it, discouraging. But we also have so much of the spirit! So much fun! and so many blessings. The small miracles we see everyday testify to me that God lives, and he loves each one of his children no matter what their differences may be.
Some highlights from this week include:
Monday: Thanksgiving dinner with the Lockharts-Same as our dinners (minus the sand from camping) we said things we were thankful for. we had turkey and yams and cranberry sauce and potatoes and gravy, etc.
Tuesday: Miracle of the week! We were running late and only had 15 minutes to knock. The first door we tried a girl answered, let us in and we taught a lesson! She became a new investigator. It was amazing. Heavenly Father is aware of all of his children.
Wednesday: District meeting in Truro. We really focused on role-plays. Practicing being good teachers and such! It was a weird moment when I realized I was an "older" or more experienced missionary than my district leader who I was roleplaying with!
Thursday: We taught Seminary!
Friday: At a visit with one of the less active members.. We sang for 45 minutes, different hymns, harmonizing and feeling the spirit.
Saturday: I went on exchange to Summerside, PEI! I loved being back on the Island. It definitely is one of my favorite places. We had some amazing experiences there and I learned so much from my sister training leader Sister Gochnour!
Sunday: We received a whole lot of potentials! For once people weren't saying no. What an amazing feeling. We also started taking pictures of all of the cats we see. Amherst has a lot of cats.
I am so thankful for all of the blessings of the gospel. Thankful to have an eternal family! Each day I try to be the best I can. And the more I work the more I see that God is in control, and he will help qualify us no matter how feeble our efforts as long as we are sincere.
I hope you are all doing great. Love you! Remember you are a child of God.
