Hello from up here, the winter wonder land!
So, I accidentally left my planner back home (we're starting off on new ones now) and I can't remember all that happened this week. Here is the cliff notes version.
We've had some great lessons this week! With our 13 year old investigator and 20 year old. No matter what age the gospel of Jesus Christ will help us all! Sister Fenn and I have been receiving packages in the mail and our Christmas tree is lovingly looking after them for us. It's been really fun to see that space fill up. But more than anything else, we've truly felt the spirit of Christmas by the conversations of Jesus Christ we have had! With Church, and visits, and even singing carols in the car. It truly is a wonderful season to be in! I am grateful for the opportunity I have to be serving Jesus Christ. To show my gratitude of His gift by giving of my time to help the people here in Maine. These people have so much love. Between 98 year old Viola who gave us home made molasses cookies, to the old folks at the Gathering Place who love to sing with us as we wash the dishes. It's a great time. A great place. And I only wish everyone could have that joy and love and thankfulness in their hearts.
Forget about the material things, and give everyone you can the gift of love. Give a smile, or hug. and most importantly tell them how they have blessed your life. Our time on Earth is very limited, let us not waste one minute being angry or unhappy. Forgive, forget, and love.
Merry Christmas! I hope you all have a great time, and remember HE is the reason for the Season!
Love,
Sister Kat Smith
