I hope you are having a most fabulous week!
My week went something like...
Monday: After e-mailing we went over to our friend's and she took us on a grand adventure! We drove to Springhill and toured the Springhill Coal Mine! Whoa! I think that is the first or second time I've been in an actual mine underground. (I remember going to a museum and going on a coal mine tour, but I think that whole thing might have been fake... my mom would know) Then we went to Parsborro and (After stopping at Tim Hortons for juice and a donut of course) we went to Five Islands, which is at the Bay of Fundy! My toes were in the ocean! With the biggest tidal exchange of the WORLD! So that was pretty cool. Then we drove down the road a bit and got to go inside an actual light house! That was a first for me too.
Tuesday: Was very busy! We had a great Sisters Skype call for our Zone. I love our Sister Training Leaders. We talked about goals, and learning how to achieve them and being really committed! I loved it. Then we had to get our tires rotated and oil changed for the car... bleh that's boring. We then had a lesson with our investigating couple. But instead of teaching them, they helped us teach her sister and her sisters husband! They didn't become new investigators or anything, but it was a great opportunity for them to share the gospel with their family. We had a wonderful supper with one of the members. We had Young Womens after that which is always fun. (I still feel like a sixteen year old at heart) and then we taught institute again.
Wednesday: We had a Missionary day with our friend who is preparing for a mission! She came out with us and we did service at the local museum and with the seniors center. (They went to "cowboy town" and we helped serve lemonade and ice cream, and held the ropes of the miniature ponies. so fun!) then we tried visiting some people they weren't home. So we chalked another quote downtown. Then we had supper with the senior couple, the Veinots, and we went to ARP. The Church's Addictions Recovery Service. Which is really good!
Thursday: we had our District Meeting! Those are always fun :D We went up to Moncton and the Elders gave us some wrong directions to meet up with them and pick up mail that they had for me. I got lots of letters! Yay! They were ones that were sent to the mission office. I have some people send them there because then no matter if I get transferred I'll get them and not worry about other missionaries having to be responsible for giving me back my mail. Then we had a great visit with one of the less active members in Sackville and we taught our investigator over there too.
Friday: Weekly Planning Day! We finished planning and headed over to the Library to shelf books. I always enjoy that. Then we went to the Blueberry festival! There seems to always be something going on downtown. We taught our couple and that went pretty well. They're still progressing and learning which is great! Oh and they got engagement and wedding rings!!
Saturday: We got to visit with two of our recent converts, and we went to Springhill and we accidentally knocked into one of our members sister. And then we had a great conversation with some less actives out there. They are really sweet!
Sunday: TRANSFER LETTER DAY! Dun dun dun!!! Turns out everything is staying the same for us. No change! Which is fine with me. I know I have a lot to learn here. So I'm excited for that. Church was great, we taught the Young Womens class. (Which consists of one girl) and talked about missionary work and the first lesson. The Restoration. That was fun. We also got to have another lesson with our investigating couple. He decided to quit Coffee!! That was the best news I'd had all week!
So it was a good week. I've learned a lot. And I'm excited to finish off the transfer strong! Oh yeah, tomorrow is my 6 month mark. That's pretty crazy. Just one year left. 12 months. whew. time flies.
