Where does the time go? It flies!
We had a great week here in Presque Isle, and I was able to go to Houlton for two days this week. We will be doing regular exchanges with the Houlton Sisters (they need the extra training and encouragement) until the rest of the transfer. So just two more weeks of me going back and forth to Houlton. I'm not a huge fan of packing so much, but I'm glad I can be of service. Sister Fenn will be holding down the fort here in Presque Isle. Which also means she gets all of the good dinner appointments! Haha, oh well.
We've had some crazy wind and storms. There were a few days that were almost warm though! This week I have been improving my testimony of Christ and the Book of Mormon, both things that are so important! when I see all of the troubles we can be faced with in life it seems so clear that we need God. It's really not an option, He is there and it's only through Him that we can hope to have a better day or a better future. I love my Heavenly Father, and I am so thankful that he is mindful of each one of His children.
Sorry this weeks a short one! I have been trying to be consistent with my journal writing this week! My goal is to write every day, and before I start I always begin with a prayer. I pray to remember the spiritual experiences I have, and I pray to be able to write things that my loved ones will need to read when they see my words. It's weird, I've never really written so much for other people before. But I know that journal writing is an important thing. It helps us to capture the tender mercies of the Lord!
In other news, I got to hold a gecko this week, that was fun! And we celebrated my companions 9 month mark! It's weird to think that when we first became companions I was the one at 9 months! Time just keeps passing us by.
Have a great week!
LOTS of love,
Sister Smith
