Hello! I hope you're all having a fantastic week! I love you all and wish the best for you! Here's an update on my life.
Monday: Super Letter Day! Okay, well I didn't get a whole lot sent out. But over 10 notes to a few people. So look for the mail! We had a good p-day.
Tuesday: My official six month mark! It was very exciting. We had two lessons, and from that received two new investigators! Which was great. We had supper at a members house and then taught institute which is always fun. We are the official institute teachers.
Wednesday: We had a lot of finding, service at the museum, and a lesson with a sweet old lady member. The seniors center was somewhat crazy though because one of the women pushed another one down and that was no good. So they were all gabbing like really old people do. It was kinda fun, the woman who fell was okay though. So no worries about that. We also had ARP that evening which I thought was very instructive. Afterwards our member Sarah conspired with us to get the Veinots to take us to dairy queen which we did. so that was yummy and fun!
Thurs: What a day, eh it wasn't that exciting. Besides the fact that every day on a mission is exciting. We went to the Library at 10. then the Veinots picked us up and we had a great Pugwash adventure! We visited members, and didn't make it home until 5. There went our contacting plans for the day... So we had supper at a members house (hamburg gravy over home grown potatoes and green beans, finished off with homemade blueberry pie! Yum!) Then we helped them do some things on family search. After we left there we went knocking and talked to a lot of people who wanted nothing to do with us. sigh. That's okay! It just encouraged me to do my best.
Friday: We had two recent convert visits after weekly planning. And a killer game night! It was a great sequence tournament! I made it to the final four and then got crushed by Sister Veinot and Brother Pettigrew. (Sequence is a lot like Gotcha for any of you smith clan readers) Needless to say, that was a blast.
Saturday: We had three lessons! Whoa. We met with all of our investigators in one day. So that was crazy. We also had a Branch picnic, we had sponge races, played washer toss, and even carried eggs around on spoons in our mouths! It was really cool to see everyone coming together. Our involvement in the community, and our efforts to bring the branch together and to build it are slowly adding up. I love to see everyone laughing together. That's what the gospel is about, being a family!
Sunday: our official "Faith" day. we were so close to reaching our goals this week! So we put in a little extra effort to try and make it. And we did! It was incredible. We reached all of our goals and found a family to teach! And got 3 new investigators from that. Which was incredible. What a day! It poured rain halfway through and we got drenched! But we had a lot of fun and it was well worth it.
I'm so thankful for the gospel! For my faith in Christ, and for Heavenly Father's love. He always blesses us and protects us. I know that we'll always have trials. But we can learn and grow from those, we can make our weaknesses strengths through Christ!
Love ya, stay out of trouble!
