Hello From Halifax!
Well everyone its been a different week, that is for sure, a mix of the worst with the best.
The Worst- my poor little trainee Sister Tait had to return home. We just couldnt get her sickness figured out so she flew home on Friday to be with her family and get better care.
The Best- I get to serve in Halifax with Sister Howell and Sister Lambert for the rest of the transfer!
Monday- Sister Tait and I spent our time together until supper, then I dropped her off at the Pratts so they could take care of her and the Sisters picked me up. We went to YSA and played capture the flag!!
Tues- we went to the mission home for MLC and I went upstairs afterwards to eat lunch with Sister Tait, then we were off again, Halifax is so busy!! We were out teaching adand street contacting all day!
Wed-I went to the Halifax District meeting, this time it was held in Sackville, and there ended up being 17 missionaries there! They had a funeral for us with a potluck lunch anf everything. In the evening Sister Tait called me with news that we needed to go back to Cole Harbour to pack. The sisters dropped me off with my companion anf we went home, it felt so good to be back in my own bed! We packed up almost everything that night.
Thurs- In the morng we mostly tried to contact members and let them know that we were leaving, then sister hull and sister hughes came down so we could go on splits to teach our friend. That lesson ended up being a little crazy but it all turned out ok. We visited with some members then high-tailed it to the Mission Home to have my Exit Interview with President Pratt, crazy! But good. Later we got knews that Sister Tait would be flying out Friday morning, so we stayed the night together at the mission home.
Friday- we dropped Sister Tait at the airport early in the morning, i had breakfast with the Pratts and went to the Senior Skype call with them, during that call Sister Howell and Sister Lambert came to pick me up officially. We did weekly planning together and worked all day
Saturday- crazy day! We went on a ton of splits, we had 5 member present lessons and 4 finding hours.
Sunday- Sister Howell and i drove to Dartmouth at 9 so I could speak via skype to a branch in Newfoundland, then we came back and in the ysa ward all three of us gave talks and we put together an impromptu musical number! Then we went to the Pratts for supper and to discuss mission stuff.
Today we went to Peggys Cove!!! It is so beautiful. Overall it has been a good week, i miss Sister Tait but luckily I will get to see her, and all of you soon! Love you so much!!
